This beautiful Argentina hotel is a true cultural experience as it celebrates the authentic Estancia lifestyle, ideally situated on the edge of the expansive Ibera National Park. Championing the biologically rich Ibera Wetlands of northeast Argentina, this immersive hotel is sure to elevate your trip to Argentina.
Rincon del Socorro restyles an Estancia, which was initially built in 1896, into a rustic yet elegant boutique hotel which thrusts you into one of the most calming and secluded regions of Patagonia. What results is an idyllic blend of vast wildlife and comforting luxury, perfect for those who love the high-end lifestyle but are eager to dive into the raw wilderness of one of the most beautiful places to visit in Argentina.
Rincon del Socorro showcases a variety of natural ecosystems, embodying the startling diversity which defines an Argentina tour. During their time in the incredible Ibera National Park, visitors can explore temporarily flooded grasslands known as malezales, picturesque Caranday palm groves, broomsedges, savannas, espinal woodlands, and gallery forests. Additionally, the reserve provides stunning views of the expansive wetlands that form the heart of Ibera.

Rincon del Socorro's Positive Impact
In 2001, philanthropist and conservationist Douglas Tompkins purchased Rincon del Socorro farm to establish a 74, 131-acre natural reserve under the stewardship of his foundation, The Conservation Land Trust (CLT). The goal behind acquiring Rincon del Socorro and other lands in Ibera was both straightforward and ambitious: to create Argentina’s largest natural park, restore locally extinct wildlife, and foster an economy rooted in ecotourism.
Rincon del Socorro specialises in low-impact, carbon footprint friendly excursions and activities such as birdwatching, horseback riding, hiking, cycling and cultural experiences. Guests can hike through diverse natural paths in the company of a knowledgeable local guide, learning about the abundance of wild fauna which is familiarised with people due to the protection process that has been developed for many decades.
Socorro is the main operating centre of the Ibera Project. Guests can participate in talks and videos with local biologists who are part of the project, in order to learn more about the incredible work that is underway.More Argentina travel inspiration from our travel specialists
