Day 1: Kotugoda
Day 1 – Kotugoda
You arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, where a friendly Wayfairer representative meets you for a smooth transfer to the Wallawwa Hotel, Kotugoda. Located on the outskirts of Negombo, Kotugoda brings a secluded and peaceful atmosphere to the beginning of your Sri Lanka luxury vacation.
Check into the Wallawwa Hotel and enjoy your evening in bliss, as the hotel’s amenable staff welcome you in warmly for a perfect introduction to Sri Lanka culture. Sample delicious Asian fusion cuisine at the hotel restaurant and settle into a cozy night in your four-poster king bed.
Days 2-4: Anuradhapura
Day 2 – Travel to Anuradhapura and Ancient Sri Lanka Tour
A tasty breakfast at your hotel kickstarts your exciting Sri Lanka vacation. You set sail on a transfer to Anuradhapura, the first and former ancient capital of Sri Lanka, situated in the north-central plain.
After checking into Ulagalla Resort, you embark on an Ancient Tour around Anuradhapura, immediately thrusting you back through time. Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage is gradually divulged as you trail along dusty paths towards mystifying relics. Marvel at the Abhayagiri Monastery Complex and the tallest standing statue of Buddha at Aukana.
Return to your luxury boutique hotel for an evening of bliss amidst its 58-acre lush green gardens.
Day 3 – Explore Polonnaruwa and Minneriya National Park
Indulge in a buffet breakfast before heading towards another of Sri Lanka’s ancient landmarks, Polonnaruwa, gradually ticking off the iconic Sri Lanka Golden Triangle.
You gaze at the intricacy of the ancient city’s stone relics, including well-preserved large stupas like Rankoth Vehera and Kirivehera. Visit the dusty rock shrine of Gal Vihare, which contains four majestic Buddha statues, slowly uncovering the secrets of this medieval capital.
You spend the second half of your day in Minneriya National Park, experiencing another of the island’s colorful faces on a Sri Lanka safari tour. Day 4 – Climb Sigiriya Rock
Another nutritious breakfast awaits you this morning, before a day of immersive adventure in Sigiriya, another checkpoint of the Sri Lanka Golden Triangle.
You are transferred to the imposing ancient rock fortress, which lies just an hour away from Anuradhapura. Sigiriya Lion Rock appears on the horizon as you travel closer, piercing through its encasing foliage at 200 meters high and resonating with mystery.
You wander the neatly landscaped gardens which lay at the base of Sigiriya Rock before beginning your Sri Lanka adventure tour on a steep climb past the enormous carved lion which marks the entrance. You reach the palace ruins, which sprawl across the top of Sigiriya, whispering secrets of the reign of King Kasyapa.
Days 5-6: Hatton
Day 5 – Exploring Hatton and a Trip to Kandy
Today, you seek the exquisite beauty of the Sri Lanka Tea Country, specifically the geometric landscapes of Hatton, in the Nuwara Eliya District. Hatton bears a complex colonial history, an intriguing yet haunting past which has intertwined with one of Sri Lanka’s most uniquely beautiful landscapes.
Check-in at Tea Trails Bungalow, an exclusive Sri Lanka hotel which mirrors the architecture of much of Hatton, expertly marrying luxury with culture.
Spend the afternoon sightseeing in the nearby city of Kandy, where pretty buildings and quaint gardens lie surrounded by mountains. Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, a stunning piece of architecture laced with important 17th-century history.
Day 6 – Tea Factory Tour and Tasting in Hatton
You are invited to seek the hidden corners of Hatton on today’s Sri Lanka tour package, beginning with a pacifying stroll in a local tea village. Your route introduces you to the distinct blend of countryside and culture that the Tea Country represents as locals go about their daily work, accompanied by the gentle hum of nature.

Days 7-10: Weligama
Day 7 – Travel to Weligama
A tasty breakfast prepares you for today’s journey to Weligama, along a picturesque route towards the southwestern tip of the island, near Galle. Weligama is a beautiful hidden gem, a small town with a name that translates to “sandy village”, and one of the best places to visit in Sri Lanka for ocean-side scenery.

Day 9 – Cooking Class in Weligama
