The Musandam Peninsula

Plan My Trip

Enter the most celestial realm of Oman and discover the glittering fjords of the Musandam Peninsula

A sail boat floats in the Musandam Peninsula's crystal waters. Enter heaven on earth as you glide across the crystal waters of the Musandam Peninsula via boat.

Some strides away from the mainland of Oman, this emblem of Arabian beauty is often enjoyed as a completely separate luxury vacation. The Musandam Peninsula is separated by the east coast of the United Arab Emirates, often accessed through a flight to Dubai and a short road transfer.

The Musandam Peninsula homes spell-binding landscapes which pose a contrast to the scenery found in the rest of Oman. You will most likely arrive into Khasab, where the peninsula's rocky shores and translucent waters, which mark the convergence of the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf, are proudly showcased.

Khasab is the social hub of the peninsula, a small town defined by its distinct cultural buzz, one predominantly felt in its sprawling souk (market). Its bustling harbour also provides curious visitors an insight into the fishing culture of the Musandam Peninsula, a culture with an especially interesting backstory. Khasab Castle is yet another spectacle in the town, providing further glimpses into the peninsula's cultural heritage with its well-maintained turrets and grand walls.

Either side of Khasab, the peninsula's cliffs and dazzling coastal waters are in their full glory. Nearby, beautiful sandy shores welcome you to relish in a peaceful beach vacation in Oman, one punctuated by serene boat trips and a stay in a wonderful local resort. You can even dive or snorkel around the peninsula, as the gulf waters offer especially good visibility.
