Today’s tour takes you on a walk through London’s most iconic landmarks. Strolling along the South Bank of the Thames, you’ll see the city’s famous skyline dominated by the Houses of Parliament.
Continue along the river, past the London Eye and across Westminster Bridge. On the other side, Big Ben’s chimes greet you, leading to Buckingham Palace, where the King’s Guard stands in traditional uniform. The tour winds through St James’ Park, an aviary haven, and past the most famous door in the world: No. 10 Downing Street.
The day ends at Trafalgar Square’s Nelson’s Column, capturing London’s blend of modern life and history. Return to your stylish hotel, where classic beauty and individually designed rooms ensure a restful stay.
Day 2 - Royal West Taxi Tour of London
Your journey around London has just begun, as an energising breakfast is your springboard to today’s cultural adventure. And, what better way to experience London at its most intimate than on a ride in one of its classic black taxis?
Begin today’s luxury London tour at Marble Arch, then pause at Speaker’s Corner, where voices rise in passionate discourse. Glide down Park Lane into Mayfair’s gilded embrace, where the city’s wealth whispers from every corner. Pass the Royal Albert Hall and its somber counterpart, the Albert Memorial, before journeying deeper into the affluential sectors of Kensington and Knightsbridge. Discover three of London’s most cherished museums and wander through South Kensington’s charming French Quarter.
As you pass Harrods and the Wellington Arch, feel the echoes of Britain’s triumphs in war. The taxi winds down Constitution Hill to Buckingham Palace, where tradition meets the modern monarchy. The journey leaves you with a taste of British elegance—sweetened with a scone, as your final stop is enhanced by a traditional British Afternoon Tea!
Day 3 - Explore London's Historic Markets
The historic markets of East London represent the area's vigorous energy, where locals chatter and work, and its colourful, urban character comes to life. Begin your journey at Broadway Market, a lively Victorian street brimming with local charm. Stroll past the stalls, where fresh produce and handmade goods beckon, or pause at a cozy café for a coffee.
On foot, make your way to Columbia Road Flower Market, a Sunday haven where the air is thick with the fragrance of blooming flowers. Next, venture to Old Spitalfields Market, an eclectic space under a canopy where vintage treasures, vinyl records, and artisan crafts await discovery. Shop to your heart’s content before ending your tour at the vibrant Brick Lane. Here, the aromas of curry and fresh bagels mingle, and the Sunday market offers global street food.
OPTIONAL: HMS Belfast Private Guided Tour
Enrich your afternoon with a guided tour of HMS Belfast, one of London’s most revered relics, a gem packed with stories of heroism and humour. You are welcomed on-board this historic gem to uncover its elaborate timeline, which transported the ship through D-Day and the Korea conflicts in the 1950s. As you tour the nine decks of the HMS Belfast, accompanied by private, expert guides, a fascinating and somewhat tragic chronicle comes to light.
Day 4 - Venture on a Dreamy Oxford Tour
Oxford, the “city of Dreaming Spires”, is at your fingertips today on a one-of-a-kind guided tour. Start at Carfax Tower, a 12th-century bell tower which echoes with the chimes of a church long gone, before continuing to the Saxon Tower of St Michael at the North Gate. Take a solemn pause at the Martyrs’ Memorial, a tribute to those who faced the flames for their faith under Queen Mary I.
Next, the Ashmolean, the world’s first university museum, awaits with centuries-old Egyptian relics. Your guide leads you onward to Blackwell’s Bookshop before you stop to marvel at the Sheldonian Theatre, a creation of the legendary architect Christopher Wren. Walk beneath the charming arches of the Bridge of Sighs and continue to the Bodleian Library.
The final stretch of this insightful tour of Oxford leads you around Radcliffe Camera, past All Souls College, St Mary’s Church and Magdelen College, before concluding at the historic Covered Market. What better way to round off this fantastic day in Oxford than a taste of food freshly cooked by a local?
OPTIONAL: Oxford Punting
Punting refers to the eccentric activity of gliding along a river on wooden boats steered by long wooden poles which push against the riverbed. In Oxford, punting has become a tradition, perfectly paired with the region’s beautiful countryside vistas and University Parks which blanket the banks of the River Cherwell. Today welcomes you and your family to immerse yourselves in the art of punting – there is truly no better way to experience Oxford!
