Days 1 & 2: Reykjavik
Day 1 & 2: Arrive in Reykjavik
Welcome to Iceland! Upon arrival, you are met by Wayfairer representatives for a private transfer onwards to the EDITION Reykjavik, a luxurious and modern Iceland hotel spotlighting the best of its capital city, with panoramic views of the harbour and its surrounding cityscape.

Day 2 - The Reykjavik City Tour
Your first full day offers a quintessential Iceland tour around Reykjavik, a city bursting with colour and life. Today offers the perfect introduction to this unique city, with a walking foodie tour, spotlighting traditional Icelandic delicacies – we hope you like fish!
The Reykjavik City Tour covers all bases, pulling you in toward the magnetic history and culture of Iceland as you walk along picturesque streets bordered by intriguing architectural pieces like the iconic Hallgrimskirkja Church. Visit the Old Harbour, a historic natural harbour surrounded by characterful cafes, shops and museums and dotted with sailing boats.
Days 3: Begin your Golden Circle Tour
Day 3 - Set off on the Golden Circle
After another luxurious night at the Reykjavik EDITION, you are ready to pick up your hire car and begin your Iceland self-drive tour. The first part of the route brings you to the Torfhus Retreat for a sumptuous two night stay nearby the legendary Golden Circle, one of the most popular drive routes in Iceland for those seeking an independent adventure.
This 190-mile scenic route showcases some of the most spell-binding natural wonders around southwest Iceland, beginning and ending in Reykjavik and transporting passengers along the picturesque south coast. Today’s Iceland adventure tour includes the Gullfoss waterfall, a spectacle with a mighty presence and geological distinctiveness, the Geysir hot spring and Thingvellir National Park. The pathway ahead of you seems to introduce an unending plethora of natural wonders, each one more magnificent than the last.

Day 4: The Silfra Fissure
Day 4 - Go snorkelling in the Silfra Fissure
Following a nourishing breakfast at the Torfhus Retreat head out today for a spell-binding Iceland adventure tour, including snorkelling in the Silfra Fissure and a thrilling river-rafting experience. There is no aquatic experience more memorable than snorkelling in Iceland – this is one for the bucket list.
The Silfra is a mesmerising cave network and dive site, formed by a fissure between the North American and Eurasion tectonic plates, in the beautiful Thingvellir National Park. There is pretty much full visibility throughout, providing a scene alike to a fantasy world and an incredible insight into Iceland’s geological singularity.
Days 5-7: Explore South-east Iceland
Day 5 - Head to the south coast
Following a delicious breakfast, set off to the south coast of Iceland for a one night stay in Skalacot Hotel. Skalakot Manor Hotel is a luxury Iceland hotel located under the Eyjafjoll mountains and Eyjafjallajokull glacier and volcano, allowing you to sleep fully immersed in the wilds of the island.
During your short but sweet stay, you will be able to enjoy various activities in the area, depending on what speaks to you. One of our favourites is the horseback tour on the hotel’s own native ponies, towards the nearby Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and Skogafoss Waterfall.
Day 6- Glacial Lagoon tour!
Today, Iceland’s Glacial Lagoons await your witness as you head towards one of the best resorts in Iceland: the Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon, located between Skaftafell National Park and the enchanting Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.
The Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon is ideally located nearby some of the best places to visit in Iceland for ice caving tours, including Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Day 7 - Exploring the longest fjord in Iceland
Your next stop is another beautiful stay in the same collection, Fosshotel East Fjords, a luxury hotel perched on Iceland’s east coast in a building previously used as a 20th century hospital for French fishermen. This charming hotel is like no other, sleeping you right beside Reyðarfjörður, the longest fjord in Iceland, and encasing you with the refreshing natural beauty that many people associate with Iceland.

Days 8-11: North Iceland
Day 8 - Explore Akureyri
After a wonderful stay at Fosshotel East Fjords, guests will drive to Akureyri, North Island for a comfortable, one night stay at Hotel Kea, a stripped-back yet stylish stay in the heart of the city. Take a wander into Akureyri past the town’s friendly shops, museums and food places, many of which are family-run and exceptionally welcoming, and perhaps explore its botanical gardens if you have time.
One of the highlights of the area is the Forest Lagoon, a secluded geothermal spa located near the town of Akureyri, also encompassing two infinity pools and its own bistro!
Day 9 - Welcome to Deplar Farm
Today introduces you to a three night stay at the Deplar Farm, following a relaxing drive to the Myvatn area in North Iceland: often considered by visitors as one of the most beautiful places to visit in Iceland. The region’s geological formations and biological features, together, craft a strange yet extraordinary scene, including the huge, shallow lake of the same name. The wetland ecosystems of Myvatn also attract a high number of aquatic birds.
After exploring the Mývatn area, continue onto Deplar Farm, an opulent stay located in the stunning Troll Peninsula equipped with some of the best facilities found in any luxury resort in Iceland.
