Days 1-3: Casablanca
Day 1-3 – Explore Vineyards Matetic, Casablanca
You arrive at Santiago Airport, met by your English-speaking guide for a smooth transfer to La Casona Matetic Hotel, a colonial stay nestled into the San Antonio Valley, Casablanca.
You are set up for a glorious two-night stay amidst the beauty of the wonderful Matetic Vineyard. With over 100 years of history, this fully remodelled hotel offers an idyllic setting to kickstart your immersive Chile adventure holiday. Enjoy insightful tours of this “boutique biodynamic winery” and indulge in wine-tasting sessions encircled by rolling valleys. Days 3-6: Mallin Colorado
Days 3-6 – Encounter the beauty of Mallin Colorado
Following a nourishing breakfast at La Casona Matetic Hotel, you are whisked away to Santiago Airport, ready for a short flight to the Southern Aysen region of Chile. Here, you encounter the dramatic beauty of General Carrera Lake.
General Carrera Lake is a must-visit for Chile adventure travel, bringing you gorgeous scenery, astounding natural phenomena and ground-breaking hiking trails. You spend three blissful nights at Mallin Colorado, a luxury estate overlooking the glittering lake. Day 6 – Transfer to Puerto Natales
Soak up the morning air of General Carrera Lake as you prepare for your short flight from Balmaceda Airport to Punta Arenas. Your flight is followed by a scenic transfer to Puerto Natales in the company of a friendly, English-speaking guide.
You arrive at Hotel Altiplanico Sur, a luxury hotel which blends seamlessly into its Patagonian surroundings. The imposing silhouettes of Patagonia’s iconic snow-capped mountains surround the hotel, perfecting your two-night stay with mesmerising scenery. Spend the evening indulging in the hotel’s luxury facilities and delicious dining options, noticing the revitalising feeling of being at one with nature.
Day 7 - Day tour of La Estancia La Península
Fuel up at the buffet breakfast before meeting your guide for a tour of La Estancia La Península, one of the most beautiful ranches in Patagonia.
Perhaps you decide on a horseback riding adventure through the pampas, towards a mesmerising viewpoint of the Balmaceda Glacier. Maybe the 4x4 off-roading adventure takes your fancy, bringing you through a native ñirre forest towards panoramic mountain views. Or, for wildlife lovers, a guided birdwatching tour transports you through farmland and forest, introducing you to rare Patagonian species. After your excursion, you’ll return to the estancia for a traditional Patagonian Asado. Learn about life on a Patagonian ranch and their inspiring vision for sustainable farming.
Days 8-9: Torres del Paine National Park
Day 8 - Day tour of Torres del Paine National Park
Today you’ll arrive at Torres del Paine National Park, the jewel of Chilean Patagonia. You’ll cross the vast pampas before arriving at the quaint town of Cerro Castillo, where you can browse handicraft markets.
Discover the Nordenskjold Lake Viewpoint, uncovering a stunning view of the tumbling Cordillera Paine. Continue to the Paine River and enjoy a picturesque hike before visiting Grey Lake, an unforgettable checkpoint in your Chile adventure holiday. On your return through the park, you’ll visit the Milodón Cave Natural Monument, home to the remains of a giant herbivorous mammal that became extinct after the Pleistocene period. After an incredible day of exploring, you’ll be transferred to the beautiful Hotel Lago Grey.
Day 9 - Exploring Torres del Paine National Park
Today is yours to spend at your leisure. Hotel Lago Gray is the perfect base to continue your explorations of the pristine lakes, snow-capped mountains and glittering glaciers of Chilean Patagonia.
The hotel can organise fantastic guided trekking to some of the best spots in the national park, including Base Towers, Pingo Waterfall, Ferrier Viewpoint, and Los Cuernos Viewpoint. You may prefer to relax in your luxurious hotel, with awe-inspiring views of the Paine Massif, the Grey Lake and the Grey Glacier. Unwind at the restaurant or bar, surrounded by Patagonian beauty. Days 10-12: Santiago
Day 10 – Transfer to Santiago
Enjoy a buffet breakfast before meeting your driver for a transfer to your domestic flight to Santiago. On arrival at the airport, you’ll be met by your private driver and transferred to Hotel Magnolia, where you’ll spend your last two nights. This afternoon, you may like to relax on the hotel’s rooftop terrace, stroll around downtown Santiago, or climb the staircase of Cerro Santa Lucia, where you’ll find ancient forts, grand monuments and a stunning view over the city.
Day 11 – Half-Day City Tour of Santiago San Cristobal
Today’s marvellous excursion creates the perfect crown to your life-changing Chile luxury holiday, transporting you through some of the country’s most iconic historical and modern sights. Begin at the main avenue, Alameda Libertador Bernardo O-Higgins, and visit its legendary landmarks.
Take a gentle stroll along the wide, pedestrian streets of Huérfanos and Ahumada, experiencing the everyday rhythms of Santiago. Venture towards Plaza de Armas, where the Metropolitan Cathedral pierces the cerulean sky.
Learn about the founding of Santiago on Santa Lucia Hill before heading to the artistic neighbourhood of Santiago. Bellavista is punctuated with colourful rows of houses, painted with vibrant murals and crowned by friendly crowds of locals. Head up the neighbouring San Cristóbal Hill before retiring to your cosy city hotel.
Day 12 - Departure from Santiago
Enjoy a final breakfast before meeting your private driver at your hotel and transferring to Santiago International Airport for your return flight home. After two extraordinary weeks spent exploring the country’s remote wonders and untamed wilderness, you’ll have seen a side to Chile that few experience.
